Dear friends in Christ,
It is with profound gratitude and solemn hope that we welcome you to the newly launched Domus Dei website and blog. Though our apostolate has lived modestly on social media until now, Divine Providence has seen fit that our formal beginning be marked in these extraordinary days: during the interregnum of the Papacy and on the Feast of St. Peter Chanel in the traditional liturgical calendar. In this time between shepherds, our hearts are filled with prayerful urgency and renewed resolve.
We humbly invite you to join us in fervent prayer to the Holy Popes of ages past—those steadfast guardians of the immutable Catholic Faith—for the success of this apostolate and for the greater flourishing of Holy Tradition within the life of the Church. We likewise commend to your prayers the soul of Pope Francis, beseeching Divine Mercy for him, and we ardently pray for the next Successor of St. Peter: that he may be a man after God’s own Heart, a vigorous champion of the Faith, a pillar of strength for Tradition, and a father who renews what is holy and perennial within the Church.
The mission of Domus Dei is simple, yet immense: to promote, defend, and glorify the Catholic Faith in all its fullness—particularly the Church’s Sacred Tradition, whose highest earthly expression is found in the Traditional Latin Mass. This Mass, born in its earliest form from the worship of the Apostles, was shaped, adorned, and codified by countless Popes, Councils, and Saints, reaching its majestic formulation in the Council of Trent, where it was declared the Mass of the Roman Rite for all generations.
We believe, without hesitation, that the future vitality of the Church is inextricably linked to the restoration and flourishing of her ancient and venerable traditions. Everywhere the Traditional Mass is celebrated, the fruits are unmistakable: vocations to the priesthood and religious life abound; Catholic families blossom in joy and faith; the reverence, doctrine, and beauty of the Church are renewed in the hearts of the faithful. What is old is made new again, not by innovation, but by fidelity.
Thus, we entreat your prayers for a rebirth of the Traditional Mass across the world, and for a future Pontiff who will not merely tolerate it, but will actively promote, protect, and support it—that the treasures of the Church may once more radiate freely for the sanctification of souls and the salvation of the world.
We thank you from the depths of our hearts for your support of Domus Dei. You are vital to this mission, and we trust that through your prayers, sacrifices, and zeal, God will richly bless our apostolate. May all we do be for the greater glory of God, the exaltation of Holy Mother Church, and the salvation of souls.
In Christo Rege,
The Domus Dei Apostolate
