Francisco Figueroa Cervantes
Francisco Figueroa Cervantes was born on 11 April 1975 in Jiquilpan, diocese of Zamora; no civil state is stated in the bulletin, and none is added here. Before embarking on the path to the priesthood, he attended the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. He entered the seminary in Zamora and was ordained a priest on 21 June 2003 for the same diocese. In 2005 he obtained a licentiate in theology and in 2007 a licentiate in Church history, both from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome. His offices were vice parish priest, seminary formator since 2008, chaplain in several religious communities, collaborator of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario parish, secretary chancellor of the Curia, and pro-vicar general in 2018; the bulletin HTML gives pro-vicar general, the PDF rendering provicar general, and the hyphenated form is carried here.
He was appointed auxiliary bishop of Zamora on 29 May 2021, assigned the titular see of Lamasba, and was consecrated bishop on 28 August 2021, the date the roster carries from the CEM directorio and Catholic-Hierarchy corroborates at spine tier. No distinct installation or possession as auxiliary is attested anywhere, and none is claimed. He remains auxiliary of Zamora at as_of, the open tenure matching the roster row. His consecrator and consecration venue are unestablished; the then-ordinary of Zamora is not inferred as principal consecrator, and the Zamora cathedral is not inferred as venue. No motto was found, none is held, and no work or quotable fragment attributable to him was found.
