The Life

Guillermo Francisco Escobar Galicia was born on 2 April 1955 and was ordained a priest on 13 August 1983. The Diocese of Teotihuacan was newly erected on 3 December 2008, the same day as his appointment, and he is its first bishop; he had no prior see and no predecessor. He was consecrated bishop on 24 February 2009; no separate installation or toma de posesión distinct from the consecration was found, so the coded start is the consecration under the first-see rule, never the 3 December 2008 appointment and erection date. His consecrator is Wikipedia-attributed to Carlos Aguiar Retes, then Bishop of Texcoco, and is carried as attributed only, not as a primary-sourced assertion; his co-consecrators and the consecration venue are unestablished, and a diocesan-primary consecration report is still owed. The diocesan site remains unopened after a fetch-layer failure, which proves nothing; a live-browser check could still yield a bio, motto, or pastoral-letter lead. Teotihuacan is suffragan of Tlalnepantla, with its cathedral at St. John the Baptist and the Holy Redeemer, on the Wikipedia tier.

No pre-episcopal offices, education, or birthplace town beyond the ordination date was established on parent-opened evidence and none is shipped: the worker's Catholic-Hierarchy line placing him as a priest of Texcoco is search-rendered, not parent-opened, and is not asserted; Wikipedia's 'native of the Teotihuacan area' is a wiki-tier formulation and is not upgraded to a town. No book, pastoral letter, interview, or homily text of his was found in quotable form, and no motto string was found in any opened source or slot; nothing is held and nothing is asserted. A town event sometimes surfaced in searches, the 2023 bullying death of a schoolgirl in Teotihuacán, is a town and school event, not an act of his, and is never imported.
