The Life

Jorge Estrada Solórzano was born in Mexico City in 1961, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Mexico on 2 June 1995. He took a licentiate in spiritual theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. As a priest he served as parish vicar, parish administrator, and parish priest, as head of the permanent formation of the clergy, and as director of the Commission for the Presbytery of the archdiocese.

He was appointed titular bishop of Pinhel and auxiliary bishop of Mexico in 2013, and was consecrated bishop on 19 July 2013. Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Gómez Palacio on 11 May 2019, and he was installed on 3 July 2019. The diocesan homepage presents him as the diocese's bishop, with diocesan news current through 23 October 2026.
