Juan Carlos Arcq Guzmán
Juan Carlos Arcq Guzmán was born in Monterrey on 17 October 1966, and was ordained a priest on 15 August 1997, incardinated into the metropolitan archdiocese of Monterrey. His offices were chaplain of the Rectory of San Maximiliano Kolbe and of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Angels; missionary in the diocese of San Cristóbal de Las Casas; director of the Pastoral Centre for Missionary Formation and of the Missions Department; ecclesial assessor of the Raza Nueva en Cristo Movement; parish priest of San Miguel Arcángel in Juárez; prefect of the Institute of Theology of the Archdiocesan Seminary; member of the College of Consultors; and rector of the archdiocesan seminary of Monterrey since 2015.
He was appointed titular bishop of Milevi and auxiliary of Monterrey on 17 October 2020, jointly with César Garza Miranda (titular Magneto) and José Manuel Garza Madero (titular Tiburnia), and received episcopal ordination on 17 December 2020. The titular form Milevi governs: both bulletin curriculum vitae entries give Milevi, while the 2024 appointment line gives Milevo, a variant for the same see. The joint consecration ceremony with Garza Miranda and Garza Madero is consistent with the corpus, which codes the same 17 December 2020 date for Garza Madero, but no opened source asserts a joint ceremony, and his consecrator and consecration venue are unestablished; the metropolitan is not inferred as principal consecrator.
He was appointed bishop of Tacámbaro on 8 June 2024, and was installed on 20 August 2024, a spine-tier date on which the roster and Catholic-Hierarchy agree; a diocesan primary for the installation is still owed. The 2024 bulletin appointment line misprints the see as Tacámbero; the curriculum vitae and the installation record give Tacámbaro. The Tacámbaro vacancy ran about thirteen months, his predecessor Gerardo Díaz Vázquez having left on 13 July 2023; the vacancy administrator is not established and is not coded.
