Julio César Salcedo Aquino
Julio César Salcedo Aquino, M.J., was born on 12 April 1951 in Mexico City, studied in the Joséphine major seminary, and obtained a licentiate in spirituality at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained a priest on 17 July 1976, incardinated in the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Joséph. As a priest he was master of novices, coordinator of Joséphine vocational pastoral care, superior and rector of the Joséphine Major Seminary of Mexico City, general counsellor, rector of the theologate, and vicar general and first counsellor of the General Governance; he was superior general of the congregation from 2009 to 2015. He is a Missionary of St. Joséph, not diocesan clergy, and that is bio prose only, because the corpus carries societies as an empty list in every dossier.
On 15 June 2017 he was appointed Bishop of Tlaxcala, and he was consecrated bishop on 30 August 2017 for that see, so the tenure codes from consecration under the first-see rule, roster-exact, and no separate installation is established. He was still Bishop of Tlaxcala at as_of: he turned 75 on 12 April 2026, but no resignation acceptance and no successor news surfaced in any source, so the tenure stays open and no close is coded. The diocese of Tlaxcala was restored 23 May 1959, suffragan of Puebla, per GCatholic. In the CEM he is listed in the June 2023 directorio as Responsable for Vida Consagrada (Consecrated Life), prior triennium only, and he is listed in the Prot. 314/24 comunicado for the triennium 2024-2027 as 3er Suplente of the National Council of the Insigne and National Basilica of Guadalupe, checked-and-LISTED, background only, never a tenure; the Vida Consagrada responsibility for 2024-2027 belongs to Garza Miranda, parent-confirmed, not to him.
A Wikidata rendering naming three consecrators for his 30 August 2017 consecration is recorded as a lead in the reference notes, not asserted here, because no opened source establishes the consecrator or the venue.
