He served in the Prelature of Isabela (Basilan) as assistant pastor at Isabela Cathedral (1983–1986), pastor at St. Anthony, Lamitan (1986–1989), assistant and dean of Remase seminarians in Davao (1990–1992), pastor at St. Peter, Lamitan (1992–1994), chancellor of the prelature (1998–2001), director of Claret College of Isabela (1999–2001), and administrator of the prelature (2001).

Controversies
Bangsamoro Basic Law opposition and 2016 military-campaign backing
As Bishop-Prelate of Isabela, Jumoad publicly opposed the Bangsamoro Basic Law and in 2016 backed the military campaign against Abu Sayyaf in Basilan. Recorded as public positions, with no motive or culpability adopted.
Threatening letters received, c. 2008
Jumoad received threatening letters c. 2008, during his Isabela tenure. He is recorded as the recipient, not the author, of the threats; no finding against him is made.
The Old Mass, See by See
Pagadian2024-01-03 – 2025-08-13administratorNo act of his own
What he inheritedCaretaker administration concurrent with Ozamis. An administrator normally serves until the successor takes possession; the tenure is therefore ended at the successor's possession (August 13, 2025), not at the April 2, 2025, appointment-date variant recorded in tier-3 tables, which is noted, not used. No Traditional Latin Mass act by Jumoad as administrator was found. A reported temporary closure of a Jimenez parish on August 5, 2025, is unverified tier-3-only and is not a Traditional Latin Mass act in any case; it is dropped.

Ozamis2016-11-30 – presentNo act of his own
What he inheritedNo diocesan 1962 Missal permission, restriction, venue, or frequency act by Jumoad in Ozamis was found. A September 5, 2025 pastoral letter on SSPX Masses at St. Michael Parish, Tangub City, is recorded as an action; it concerns SSPX discipline and affirms the legitimate Extraordinary Form with proper faculties, and does not by itself establish a diocesan 1962 Missal posture, so posture remains no_record pending audit. The possession date is established by the CBCP profile, read directly: 'On October 4, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Ozamis, succeeding Archbishop Jesus Dosado, and he was installed on November 30, 2016.' Day and year stand in one sentence, so the earlier reliance on an anniversary Facebook post is dropped: that post gave 'November 30' with the year only inferable from a preceding sentence, and its 'a month after' sits poorly against an October 4 appointment. The see is spelled 'Ozamis' per the roster; the city is 'Ozamiz.'
  • 2025-09-05Pastoral letter on the celebration of Mass by a group affiliated with the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) at St. Michael Parish, Tangub City: Masses celebrated by SSPX priests without diocesan faculties are illicit, and the faithful were forbidden to participate in them; for those drawn to the traditional liturgy, the Extraordinary Form is legitimately offered with proper faculties. Posted September 7, 2025, as post images (letter dated September 5, 2025); no diocesan venue, named celebrant, or frequency provision for a 1962 Missal Mass was identified in the visible text. A commenter's clarification that the group is the MCSPX, not the FSSPX, is not the archbishop's text and is not adopted. ↗

The Bishop & the Mass of Ages
Pastoral letter on SSPX Masses; diocesan 1962 Missal posture not established

No diocesan 1962 Missal permission, restriction, venue, or frequency act by Archbishop Jumoad, in Isabela, in Ozamis, or as administrator of Pagadian, was found. A September 5, 2025 pastoral letter on SSPX Masses in Ozamis is recorded as an action in the Ozamis tenure; it does not by itself establish a diocesan 1962 Missal posture, so posture remains no_record pending audit. Each tenure is coded separately.

The Ozamis possession date (November 30, 2016) rests on the CBCP profile, which states the appointment and the installation in one sentence; the Vatican Radio URL carries only the appointment (October 4, 2016) and is not cited for the possession. The see is spelled 'Ozamis' per the roster; the city is 'Ozamiz.' The Pagadian administration is ended at the successor's possession (August 13, 2025), per the normal administrator convention, not at the April 2, 2025, appointment-date variant in tier-3 tables.
