Víctor Alejandro Aguilar Ledesma
Víctor Alejandro Aguilar Ledesma was born on 5 April 1965 in San Guillermo, diocese of Irapuato; no civil state is stated in the bulletin, and none is added here. He was awarded a licentiate in family pastoral ministry from the Pontifical Lateran University, Rome, and was ordained a priest on 10 December 1989, incardinated into the archdiocese of Morelia. His undated offices, as listed in the 2026 bulletin, were parish vicar, parish administrator, head of the diocesan secretariat of Evangelization and Catechesis, chaplain of the Poor Clares, Episcopal vicar, parish priest, professor in the diocesan seminary, diocesan coordinator of pastoral ministry, and diocesan assistant for the Christian Family Movement; within the Mexican Episcopal Conference he is head of the Dimension for the Laity, the triennium unstated.
He was appointed titular bishop of Castulo and auxiliary of the archdiocese of Morelia on 1 December 2015, jointly with Herculano Medina Garfias, and received episcopal ordination on 25 February 2016; Wikipedia's list of bishops consecrated by Cardinal Alberto Suárez Inda as principal consecrator names him for that date, attributed here and not asserted, with co-consecrators unestablished and the venue unestablished. On 12 June 2021 he was appointed bishop of Celaya. No possession date for Celaya was found in any search, so the Celaya tenure is coded from the appointment date and flagged as such; it is not upgraded to a possession that no source states. The 2026 bulletin styles him once as Bishop J. Víctor Alejandro Aguilar Ledesma; the initial is a styling variant, not a second person, and no source expands it.
On 21 September 2026 he was appointed bishop of Querétaro, transferring from Celaya, on the resignation of Fidencio López Plaza. That transfer is calendared for installation on 24 November 2026, after the as_of date of this dossier, so no Querétaro tenure is coded here; it is added only when a possession date surfaces, and the Celaya tenure will then close at that possession under canon 418 section 1.
