The Life
Motto: Absit nisi in Te gloriari ("May it be absent, except to glory in You") Subject and later the sovereign of the Papal States. Known for financing many building projects, including the facade of St. Peter's Basilica. Established the Bank of the Holy Spirit (1605). Restored the Aqua Traiana.
